Yesterday- Shazamland. Circa 1982. (Below) The date says 1982, but honestly? This could be any time since the beginning of time to today. I have always said, that the empty wave is timeless. The waves have not changed since the beginning of time. Surfers and surfboards will come and go. But the empty wave, is seamless and timeless. There was a time in my life, when I fought very hard to keep this place a sanctuary. I loved her that much. It was my spot. During that time I never missed a swell there. But those days are behind me now. The young Beauchesne brothers, Phil and Artie, came up behind me and carried that torch when I moved away. Now it's only Artie down there battling the opposition during each Nor'Easter. Yes I named my band after this spot. The wave remains. The only change is those who surf there. Photo by RALPH |

(Above) This poor guy has no idea what he missed. He obviously went to the bottom of the wave rather than grab a rail and angle. Had he done the latter, he'd be buying a high res copy of that ride. February 9th, 2016 Photo by RALPH *Click on the photo above to see the whole gallery |

The Empty Waves Of The NH Primary Swell February 9th, 2016 Photos by RALPH (Above) It heaves and unloads on the slab that is within paddling distance. I'm told it is only inches deep. And compared to the wave that everyone surfs, this break is a short, and I do mean short ride. FIVE 0's. February 9th, 2016 Photo by RALPH *Click on the photo above to see the whole gallery |

But I know with 100% certainty that there are a whole bunch of you that would give it a go. February 9th, 2016 Photo by RALPH *Click on the photo above to see the whole gallery |
